Three African Safari destinations in three countries

Now more than ever guests are travelling to Africa in search of a true safari holiday.  Africa is a place like no other on earth.  Not only is it home to the Big Five (the African lion, the African elephant, the black/white rhino, the Cape buffalo and the leopard), but many other diverse and abundant animals such as the Nile crocodile, hippopotamuses, not to mention the large number of bird species only found in this part of the world.

There are three countries in the southern part of Africa that each have beautiful destinations that guests should visit to experience the best of Africa.  These three destinations are: The Okavango Delta in Botswana, the Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe and the Kruger National Park in South Africa.

The Okavango Delta is a spectacular unique place on earth.  It is a place that is home to diverse wildlife ranging from lions to hippos.  What is even more amazing and difficult to comprehend is that this place is in a desert.  Once a year the desert is flooded with waters from the mountains to the north of the country.  The flood waters literally transform this desert into a wetland paradise.  The dry scorched earth is quenched and the dry plants turn into the lush thick green vegetation that sustain the herds of animals that migrate into area to feed.  Naturally these herds are followed by predators such as lions and hyenas who always entertain guests.

The second place is the Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe.  This is one of the seven natural wonders of the world.  It is the widest falling sheet of water on earth.  The full width of the great Zambezi River plummets into a giant fissure.  The locals call this natural spectacle "the smoke that thunders".  When the water falls it sprays a thick mist back into the sky which resembles smoke, however, this smoke has an unmistakable sound, it thunders…

The finally destination is the Kruger National Park in South Africa.  Despite being the home of the great leader Nelson Mandela, South Africa is home to one of Africa's greatest national parks.  Many global wildlife documentaries broadcasted on channels such as National Geographic Channel are shot within the Kruger National Park.  It is home to large concentrations of the Big Five animals of Africa.  This place is famous for its many video and photographic opportunities that even amateurs can capture if they happen to be in the right place at the right time.  Wildlife video clips taken by tourists on vacation such as "the Battle in the Kruger" have received millions of view on YouTube and are evidence of the wonderful natural events that can unfold before tourists here.

In conclusion,  the Okavango Delta, the Victoria Falls and the Kruger National Park are wonderful destinations that tourists should visit on safari packages to experience the best of Africa.
